Cannot post my bug which includes CESM code because ...

All,

I get the following messages from Bulletin:

You have included a total of 8 images and/or videos in your message.
The maximum number that you may include is 4. Please correct the
problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code tag, and HTML tags.
Videos are included with the BB code [video] tag. The use of these is all
subject to them being enabled by the administrator.

I have only my type text (type in vi) and CESM code in my report ...
NO HTML, video, etc. of ANY kind.

Trying to reporting CESM's habit of failing to initialize its Fortran
pointer to NULL which in my case with the latest Intel compiler
causes a Validation case to fail.

I have a fix, but cannot report it because of the above messages.

I don't know what the vBulletin quirks are that are preventing your post. But could you just post the files and line numbers where pointer initializations are needed?
