CCSM TraCE paleoclimate simulation output on ESG

I downloaded the decadal-mean seasonal precipitation (PRECT) output from the Earth System Grid website and found some bizarre jump discontinuities - see the attached time series plots at the gridpoint containing Charlotte, NC, for example. The jump is especially suspicious in the spring data (green) around 14ka BP. I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem, or knows about any potential errors in the dataset.

We inquired about the retracted data notice on the old page, but it turns out the data weren't retracted, just republished from disk after being transferred from archival tape storage.

Thanks for the help!
