Hi
I am porting cesm 2.3.beta08 to the arc4 machine in Leeds so as to incorporate machine configs in later releases (as previously mentioned by myself and MarkR_UoLeeds in the thread CESM2.3.alpha08b build failure (timeout waiting for CDEPS), and I am getting some errors in a few of the prealpha tests.

Specifically, the following tests all have problems that seem to be due to problems with the tests themselves rather than the machine configuration :

TestApparent Reason for Failure

ERS_D_Vmct.f09_g17.B1850.arc4_intel.allactive-defaultioDivide by zero error in w3iogomd.f90:490 – cannot see the source of the problem
SMS_D_Ld1_Mmpi-serial.f45_f45_mg37.I2000Clm50SpRs.arc4_intel.clm-ptsRLAAttempting to use an MPI routine before initializing MPICH

I also get a baseline comparison error in the MCC.f19_g17.B1850.arc4_intel.allactive-defaultiomi test and the SMS_D_Ln9_Vmct.T42_T42.FSCAM.arc4_intel.cam-scam_mpace_outfrq9s test fails with no apparent reason visible in the logs

I just wanted some confirmation that I am correct in thinking that these errors are due to the tests and not my configuration.

Secondly, is the ect website able to validate ensemble results from 2.3.beta08, or do I need to use pyCECT locally?

Hi

Further to the above, we are planning on having a MUSICA tutorial in september. If the above tests are not passing before the tutorial, will this impact the ability of our installation to run MUSICA
