CESM known_problems?

When I use create_newcase for iCESM2.1, I get the following message:

Are the issues listed at that site still relevant, or have they been fixed? In particular, the "cesm1_2_beta02" one says that CLM40 CN compsets can't be used. I was planning to use one, so I wanted to check.

Did you mean iCESM1.2? I don't think any tags have been made that would fix those issues. However, I will check with some of the paleo folks.

Yes, I did mean iCESM1.2 (or regular CESM1.2). Thanks for looking into this.

Hi Michael,

I don't think those "known problems" are relevant for iCESM1.2.

The initial version of iCESM1.2 was based on cesm1_2_rel06 and we have added some minor updates (such as pio version on Cheyenne).

We have used iCESM1.2 with CN for several paleoclimate periods without issues. Scientifically, CN does make a difference in the paleoclimate simulaitons. Please let me know if you want to know more.
