CESM tags with updates for Github without subversion?

The CSEG announcement thread about Github dropping support for subversion mentioned several updated tags for CESM that will address the issue. Does anyone know when these new tags will be available (they don't seem to be at present)? Github has been running "brown outs" of svn support, which makes using manage_externals with existing versions of CESM problematic. I'd like to upgrade to one of the new tags.
