Hello everyone! When I use the CESM2.1.3 restart files for the branch run in CESM2.1.4, I always find the same error like this: ERROR: nf_mod.F90 730
How should I do? All the restart files are getted.

If I understand correctly, the same branch works with CESM2.1.3 and fails with CESM2.1.4. The error appears right after opening a waccm file, so maybe CESM2.1.4 needs a new version of this file?

Troubleshooting ideas:
- You could start a new separate case with CESM2.1.4 to see what files it uses, in case that tells you why your branch is failing.
- You may have better luck starting your CESM2.1.4 as a hybrid instead of a branch run. Hybrid is more flexible than branch.

Thank you very much Slevis. I switch to the hybrid run, and it works. I also have a question. I have never used a hybrid run before. I used a balanced restart files from other HPC, do I need to run a long term simulation for spin up? Is the simulation balanced?

If you used the same restart files in the hybrid case, then your simulation may be similarly balanced, but you will have to confirm this by looking at the output.
