CESM2 LENS Archived Restart Files

I found a workaround for the permissions issues, so no longer a problem. But...a few of the runs are missing some of the restart files. This includes: 1281-020, 1231-016, and 1231-018. For example, b.e21.BHISTsmbb.f09_g17.LE2-1281.020.cam.r.2015-01-01-00000.nc and b.e21.BHISTsmbb.f09_g17.LE2-1281.020.pop.r.2015-01-01-00000.nc are missing, perhaps others. Could missing files be uploaded for these 3 runs?

Permissions have been corrected and the files you identified as missing should now be available.

Looks good, except for 1231.018. This one still has missing files (they do appears as ".archived" with zero size).

Are there restart files after 2015-01-01 for the remaining SMBB members in LENS? It appears that 10 of the 50 members have restart files already available on glade. Do the remaining 40 members from model years 1231, 1251, 1281, and 1301 have restart files at the same frequency that can be accessed? Specifically, I would be interested in restarts between 2015-01-01 and 2031-01-01.

Hi Brandon ~ We should archives of most restarts available for the remainder of the SMBB runs. I can investigate and if the files exist, we can transfer them to glade.

Sorry, this is part of the same project you were discussing with Bob above. I’m looking in the respective folder under /glade/campaign/cesm/collections/CESM2-LE/restarts.

I’m not in front of my machine right now but can get the exact path if needed.

Of course, sorry. Here's the full path I'm looking in: /glade/campaign/cesm/collections/CESM2-LE/restarts/b.e21.BHISTsmbb.f09_g17.LE2-1301.017/rest/2015-01-01-00000/

It seems to have some other restarts from 1281.017, but is missing at least the 'cam.i' restart file for 1301.07 (that's the first error I hit when running the model anyway).
