Dear Community,

Recently, I noticed that the depth deptho_fx_blabla_nc agrees with the sum up of the vertical levels width. Can anyone confirm whether this is an issue or CESM2-WACCM does not use partial grids? Thanks in advance for all you help

Kind regards,

Estanislao

Hi,
so I am not sure if it is a problem or CESM-WACCM does not use partial bottom cells. Most of the models that I use, have partial vertical thickness cells at the bottom because the seafloor usually does not agree with the total thickness. So, I wonder if anyone knows about this topic.

The CESM ocean model POP does not have partial cells along the bottom.

I don't quite understand your question. Is there a problem you've found?
