I believe this question has already been asked in the forum, although in a slightly different way. The climate model outputs virtual salinity fluxes, and I have tried to compare the freshwater content tendency derived from these fluxes (strait transport and VSF) with the freshwater rate obtained from time series of freshwater volume. For some reason, I obtain large discrepancies toward the end of the century. I saw in the forum that freshwater from frazil ice is not diagnosed in the model. I wonder whether this means that the VSF does not include this contribution.
