CESM3 interactive fire to the atmosphere?

I recently listened to the CESM tutorial 2024 on YouTube and learned that CESM3 is coming up soon, which is great. I am just wondering if we are having interactive fires (from land) in the atmosphere in the updated version.

Yes, this is something we'd like to target as a feature in CESM3. Peter Lawrence has had success doing this in CESM2.1.5, so we're hoping to have it as a supported feature in the upcoming release
