Hi there,
I have a 10+ year CESM (CAM+SOM) run done using the default pop_frc.1x1d.090130.nc file. I want to run a branch run identical to my current run, but only changing the 'qdp' variable in the pop file. Before making any changes to 'qdp', however, I simply copied and renamed the pop file to a local directory to get the framework set up. I changed the docn.buildnml.csh (dat_dompath, dat_domfile, dat_datpath, and dat_datfile) and the changes DO show up in the docn.input_data_list.
The run does not complete and one of the error messages in the ocn log file is as follows:
(shr_stream_restRead) ERROR in stream filenames 1 1 pop_frc.1x1d.090130.nc pop_frc.test.nc
Is it possible to change the ocean file for a branch run or does the ocean file have to be consistent with the original run? If it is possible, any ideas as to where I went wrong?
