Clarification in CESM-TS

Hi

I am running CESM with COMPSET B_1850_CN control simulation without any modifications to the code. I analysed the output and getting the surface temperature for 100yrs is 285.5K. I am wondering how this can be, as the NCAR diagnostics says 287.7K. Can any one help me why I am getting this.
