CLM/PIO error when using use_snicar_frc = .true.

Hi, I'd like to use SNICAR to get the aerosol on snow forcing diagnostics.

I'm using cesm2.1.3 (see ./describe_version results in text file), and haven't made any code changes.

create_newcase --case B2010_base --compset 2010_CAM60_CLM50%BGC-CROP_CICE_POP2%ECO%ABIO-DIC_MOSART_CISM2%NOEVOLVE_WW3_BGC%BDRD --res f19_g16 --mach fram --run-unsupported

I've added use_snicar_frc = .true. to the user_nl_clm file

When running I get this error Common questions and answers — CESM_WF_DOC 1.0 documentation (log files attached). I don't have access to the solution suggested there.

I've removed the line from user_nl_clm and then it runs fine, but I'd like to use this option to get the BC/aerosol on snow forcing diagnostics.

Many thanks,
Zosia

In the above error message I see
NetCDF: Numeric conversion not representable
which may mean that the model is trying and failing to write a history file due to NaN or Inf in the data. I don't know why this would happen if you haven't changed the code or the inputs. Regardless, you may be able to look through the code for use_snicar_frc and find the part that's failing and remove or change it.
