Hi, all
I set a ssp126 and ssp585 simulation for future. I have some confusions about the co2 difference about the ssp126 and ssp585 compset (with anomaly_forcing method).
The compset longname is SSP126_DATM%GSWP3v1_CLM50%SP_SICE_SOCN_MOSART_SGLC_SWAV.
The co2 difference can be found in fco2_datm_globalSSP1-2.6__simyr_2014-2501_CMIP6_c190506.nc and
fco2_datm_globalSSP5-8.5__simyr_2014-2501_CMIP6_c190506.nc ?

And what is the difference if i set :
./xmlchange CCSM_CO2_PPMV=367.0
./xmlchange CLM_CO2_TYPE="constant"

and the co2_type="diagnostic"?

I did not know if i can set CO2 to constant in future simulation?
Best

Hi, Slevis,

I recently updated my experiment. I have a question for future simulation, ssp585 (for CLM and CESM), is it reasonable to set co2 as constant?
like this:
./xmlchange CCSM_CO2_PPMV=367.0
./xmlchange CLM_CO2_TYPE="constant"

I do not set co2_type="diagnostic" (means transient co2), as I did not want to evaluate the co2 level on my results.
