CO2 value in B1850 and B200

I have a question about the compset setting. Can you help me with it? When I set the compset as B1850 and B2000, the values of "CCSM_CO2_PPMV" are 284.7 and 367.0. Which years do these default CO2 values come from? By looking up "scenario_ghg" in the namelist, I find it saying "default: fixed". Does it mean CO2 density (CCSM_CO2_PPMV) keeps the same value anytime during the run? After 2 months' run, I do find it keeps the same. Is this the correct method to check the value of CO2 for each run?

This is correct. The CO2 value is maintained constant in B1850 and B2000 compsets to the value 284.7 and 367.0 respectively. These are values representative of the year 1850 (pre-industrial) and 2000 (present day).
