COMPARE fail in pre alpha testing

I have a question regarding a pre alpha test which is failing in CESM2.1.1:

ERI.T62_g16.C1850ECO

I've tried running this test on two machines (tier-1 and tier-2) and for both I got an error in the COMPARE phase, when digging somewhat deeper into this I found that there appears to be some slight differences in the pop model between two variables (TIME and TIME_RMSE), I'm not sure why this is happening though.
Since I'm having the same issue on two different machines, I don't seem to have the feeling this is related to the port of CESM to these machines.

Could you guys give some insights on why this might be occurring? I've added the TestStatus.log file in this post.
