Compiling, Running CESM on Mac 10.6.8

I would like to ask the same question. I have try on 10.7 and 10.8, but without luck. The problem is mostly in the incompatible libraries.I would also like to know the minimum setting of the number of cores. How many is enough for model tunning and maybe one-year simulation so that we can see the results the next day?Any suggestion is appreciated!
