compset options for the near real time

Hi all,
I'm quite new to CESM model. I want to make a simulation for a short time period, and want to compare with the real time observations. Just like I want to simulate the temperature and precipitation for 2020-01 to 2020-02. If I want to use CESM model, which compset should I choose? I know that BHIST is good for the date before 2014. But after 2014, which compset should I use? And if I want to simulate the two months data, when should I start my run is good?

CESM is more commonly used for applications concerned with long-term climate statistics (e.g., decadal averages) rather than comparing to specific months in specific years. Therefore, it isn't set up to be able to do an experiment like the one you're describing easily out-of-the-box.

That said, some groups have used it for applications like these, but I believe that quite a lot of work was needed to prepare appropriate initial conditions. I suggest looking at some of the projects listed here for more information and guidance:
