Concerning history files

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me as to how I can get POP output as a single history file for an year with 12 points on time , each being for a month ,instead of 12 separate files for each year? Also I want to know if there is any way in which I can suppress output from some models and get output only from one component.Thanks!

yes we can get outputs at different frequencies you have to change namelist for that ..for example if you want to change default output of pop say contents and frequency ...you can find theese options in input templates in
$CCSMROOT/models/ocn/pop/input_templates/**
specifically you might want to change output freq of pop.. change gx1v3_pop_in or gx3v5_pop_in depending on your resolution ..changing it is straight forward.
