Confused about hybrid and branch run

Hi!I need to study the long-term impact of emissions on precipitation. I run FHIST from 1979 to 2014, and the analysis period is 1980–2014. The running schemes for my two experiments (control experiment—with emissions, and sensitivity experiment—without emissions) are as follows:
  1. The control experiment runs in hybrid mode until 2014, and the sensitivity experiment starts from the 1980 restart file of the control experiment and runs in branch mode until 2014.
  2. Both experiments run in hybrid mode until 2014, and the analysis is based on 1980–2014.
  3. Both experiments run in branch mode until 2014, and the analysis is based on 1980–2014.
Which approach should I adopt?
