Converting historical files to single time slice

I need to convert my historical files to single variable time slice. I used Dr. Rosenbloom's script before but after moving to Derecho, that script is not working. I was wondering if there is any script to create the time slice. Thanks!

We are working on a better tool for time series generation, but for now please see this thread for details on how to generate time series on derecho
