Create single-point atmospheric forcing from CRUNCEP data?

Hi all, I was trying to make a single-point run over Harvard Forest. I've created surface data file and domain file using PTCLM. It seems to me that I will need single point atm forcing file either from local observations or global datasets like CRUNCEP or QIAN. I looked at the 1x1pt data created for UMB and they are in YYYY-MM.nc format. Is it possible to extract a YYYY-MM.nc type data from the CRUNCEP data, say like this one: /glade/p/cesm//lmwg/atm_forcing.datm7.cruncep_qianFill.0.5d.V4.c130305/Solar6Hrly/clmforc.cruncep.V4.c2011.0.5d.Solr.1999-04.nc Thanks for the help!-Xi

Hey guys, Seems that I asked a stupid question ;).I figured it out: use ncks (first module load nco) to extract the data for the location you want.I found that somehow I cannot put decimal numbers as parameters for lon,lat though. I figured out the subscripts of Harvard Forest (which are integers) and then ncks worked.-Xi
