Different restart files for different version of CESM.

Hello, I have some question about the restart files for the different version of CESM.I get a restart file from somebody else using CESM1.0.2 and was trying to use it as my new case initial condition. While the version I am now using is the CESM1.1.1. There are some difference between these two restart files. Firstly, it is because of the different resolution. The resolution is 1.8x2.5 for the CESM1.0.2-CLM, but 0.9x1.25 for the CESM1.1.1-CLM. I don't know how to change the resolution of the restart file for the new version.Secondly, the variables in the two restart files are also different. Firstly, for the CESM1.0.2, there are (224) 1d variables and (51) 2d variables, while for the CESM1.1.1, there are  (221) 1d variables and (43) 2d variables. Becasue I was trying to use the CLM4.0CN spinup process, the 2000 years for me is relly not easily realized. So I am asking whether there are some one can deal with this issue?Thanks very much.
