How to add the deposition to the CAM-CHEM output?

Dear all,I'm learning the CAM-CHEM simulation with CAM4 and TROP_MOZART mechanism. I want to know whether there is a way to output the dry/wet deposition of species (i.e. NH4, SO4, NO3) to the history files. I have tried the namelists "aer_drydep_list" and aer_wetdep_list" in the group "chem_inparm", and the namelist "drydep_list" in the group "drydep_inparm". However, none of them works in my case.Any suggestion will be helpful and I appreciate your time! Jian

Dear Jian, the variables aer_drydep_list and aer_wetdep_list control the aerosols that will be dry/wet deposited in the simulation, but not the output. To change the output of species for example the monthly mean, you add species to your fincl1 list. For dry deposition fluxes you add DF_*, so for example 'DF_SO4'. For dry deposition velocities, you add DV_*, and for wet removal tendencies, using the Neu scheme (as I suppose you do), you use DTWT_*.Simone

Dear Simone,Thank you for your detailed reply. In the oder version (CESM 1.0.x), the wet deposition of species (i.e. NH4) is output as "NH4SFWET". So in this state-of-the-science version of CESM, should I add the "SFWET_NH4" into the fincl1 list? Thanks a lot. Jian

For aerosols, the wet deposition flux at the surface is *SFWET, so NH4SFWET. You can find the different fields that are in the model in your atm.log file.
