how to calculate the vertical structure of ocean(atm) meridional heat transport

I have read the paper of Pro. Boccaletti, which is about the vertical structure of ocean meridional heat transport like MOC, and the paper is at :: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2005GL022474/abstract

Now I want to calculate it. Who can give me some program to get it?
