How to change the number of samples within a CPL output file

Dear All,I am using  CESM output (actually using the CPL outputs) as atmospheric forcing to drive CLM. After I set histaux_a2x3hr as TRUE, I can get 3-hourly atmospheric forcing data sets but all of these files are recorded daily, that's to say, there are 365 files for one year. I want one file to contain the whole month information so as to have less files in a year, however, I did not find where to configure this. Does anyone here have experiences to set up this? Look forward to your help.Regards,Yi

Thanks for your help. Do you think this is the only effective way to solve this problem? If there are some other namelist variables can be set to configure this, it will be more convenient. Thanks!
