how to run ccsm4.0 with CN (carbon nitrogen) being active?

I am wondering is there an easy way to run ccsm4.0 with CN being active and simulating the phenology instead of using data phenology. I know we can do it through CESM by choosing different combinations of components but CESM is using CAM5 not CAM4, which I want to use.

Thank you if someone can answer my question.

The compsets with 'CN' in the name are running CLM in CN mode. In the ccsm4 code that includes the compsets B_1850_CN, B_1850-2000_CN, F_1850-2000_CN, etc. See Appendix A of the User's Guide, or look in the scripts/ccsm_utils/Case.template/config_compsets.xml file for a complete accounting.

As Mike points out the compsets that use cam4 physics are also available in the CESM. In fact the compset names did not change between CCSM4 and CESM1, so any compset that is common uses the same components. In CESM1 the compsets that use cam5 physics add a CAM5 token into the compset name. For example, B_1850-2000_CAM5 (which does not use CLM in CN mode).
