Hello,
I use CESM2.2 version first time. When I use the B1850 compset, the building process meet the error.

error:/my_cesm_sandbox/components/cice/src/drivers/mct/ice_comp_mct.F90(570): error #6404: This name does not have a type, and must have an explicit type. [TIMER_CPLRECV].

I'm confused. Does the CESM2.2 code download incompletely or cice component? I'm sorry to disturb you.

I have had no troubles building cases. I would wipe out your code root and try doing another checkout.
