interpolation method

Hi does anyone know what algorithm is used to interpolate the surface data in mksurfdata tool?
And what is used in interpinic tool?

How can we modify it?

For mksurfdat, it depends on the variable, so you have to look at the code to get the answer. For example, soil color is interpolated by selecting the dominant value, while %wetland is interpolated by area conserving interpolation.

For interpinic, we use the nearest neighbor method.
