Is it possible to run the model backward?

Hi everyone,

I just wondering if there is a posibility to run the CESM model backward in time? I thought it would be an interesting techs to attribute the reasons for a certain phenomenon.

I would appreciate it if anyone konw how to do it or want to discuss it.

I've never heard of anyone trying to run the model backwards in time.
