make new compset

I want to make new compsets which are not available as supported components sets in CESM.For instances, super fast llnl chemistry are available in B2000CNCHM, B1850CNCHM, B20TRCNCHM, and F1850CNCHM.I want to make F2000CNCHM (longname : 2000_CAM4%FCHM_CLM40%CN_CICE%PRES_DOCN). Is it possible? I also would like to simulate upper atmosphere with super fast llnl chemistry(FCHM).However, current FCHM case in the newcase_list are only combination of CAM4 or CAM5 whose model top is about 40km. I would like to simulate above 40km (say up to 100km).I am wondering if I can make new compsets including FCHM and WACCM. Thank you for your comments in advance.Sincerely,

Yes, technically you should be able to do that.  There may be science issues I am unaware of but you should be able to define the compset.

I tried to run F2000CNCHM in FV dycore and SE dycore but those compsets seemed not to be supposed by cesm.I also tried to run WACCM components such as BW, FW, BWCN, and FWCN which were in the create_newcase_list however they did not work, either.Eventually, I would like to make user-defined cases such as super_fast_llnl with WACCM. I am wondering if users can make such cases. If then, how can I make yser-defined cases?Thank you for your comments, in advance.

For most WACCM cases, the only supported resolution is 2 degree on the FV dycore (f19_g16 for B compsets, f19_f19 for F compsets). We may not have initial conditions files available for other resolutions. Furthermore, WACCM-SE is still not tuned up or validated, in part because we are waiting on developments in the SE dycore itself. However, if you are having problems with a 2 degree WACCM compset, please make a note of it on the WACCM board, including the machine you are running on and CESM version, and I will investigate.I'm not familiar enough with the super_fast_llnl chemistry to say anything about how to combine it with a high-top model, but one of the scientists might know. I will move your earlier post on this question and see if it gets anyone's attention.
