Negative infiltration values in CLM5

Hi, I wonder simulate the distribution of infiltration in China, but I got some negative values. In my views, the range of infiltration should >= 0, so what is the mean of those negative values? Is there something wrong?

I think infiltration could be negative because it is defined as water into the soil minus the evaporation minus the surface runoff.
