According to the documentation for DRV namelist options, there is supposed to be an ORBITAL_MODE in env_run.xml. I'd like to use that to set a run to use the "fixed_parameters" option, but I don't see ORBITAL_MODE in env_run.xml. Using CESM1_2_0 on Yellowstone. Tried a B and an F compset, just to make sure I wasn't missing something.Is there a "right way" to set orb_mode='fixed_parameters' ? Should it go in user_nl_cam since there is no user_nl_drv?

Thanks! I just went to set orb_mode and the parameters in user_nl_cpl and ran preview_namelists and it returned an error. I'm not sure if this is a minor change or a typo, but the namelist parameter orb_mvelp is no longer actually defined in namelist_definition_drv.xml, but it is called orb_velp. The 'm' used to stand for 'moving,' I think.
This is a known problem in the 1.2 release: In the models/drv/bld/namelist_files/namelist_definition_drv.xml variable orb_velp should be orb_mvelp this is only a problem if you attempt to set the variable. The fix is to correct the name in this file and it is fixed in https://svn-ccsm-models.cgd.ucar.edu/drv/seq_mct/trunk_tags/drvseq4_2_34
