PI WACCM4 run fails after 15 years

Hi all,

I'm running a pre-industrial simulation using WACCM4 (compset- F1850W, res- f19_g16).
The model fails after 15 years and this is the error message I receive:
filew failed, worst i, j, qtmp, q = 1 6
-2.766170986092064E-207 -2.806239912754550E-208
BalanceCheck: soil balance error nstep = 262809 point = 2116 imbalance = -0.000002 W/m2

Can anyone please suggest why does this error occur and how to resolve it?

"soil balance error" is a common diagnostic output in CLM. This is printed all the time and usually just refers to small energy conservation errors (microwatts per m^2).

Have you tried running again to see if this is a transient error? If the error persists, please post your ccsm.log and atm.log files here.

Hello, Mike, I am a beginner of cesm. I also encountered the same problem. I modified some source codes before, but I don't remember what I modified specifically. I attached my cesm.log and atm.log. Can you give me some inspection suggestions based on this log file.
