Hello CESM Community,
I am a PhD student currently working on deep-time paleoclimate simulations, specifically investigating the hydrologic cycle and coastal upwelling dynamics during the Proterozoic eon. I am setting up iCESM1.2 to utilize both the water isotope tracking.
System and Case Details:
Since I had to install the model offline, I am manually porting the machine architecture from a known, working installation of standard CESM 1.2.2 on the same cluster.
I want to know if it is possible to run my previous CESM boundary conditions on the iCESM and use the POP restart file to run the iCESM case to simulate the water isotope data on the land part. How many changes do I need to take care of before building the iCESM case?
Thank you in advance for your time and any guidance you can provide!

System and Case Details:
- Model: iCESM1.2 (offline install via local SVN bridge and .tar.gz transfer)
- Compset: B1850 (fully coupled)
- Resolution: T31_g37
- Cluster: Sugon (SLURM batch system, Intel compilers, Intel MPI)
