qsub error on Cheyenne

Hi all,

I'm working on Cheyenne and currently can't submit anything into the batch queue. When I run qcmd -- ./case.build to compile a model run (CESM2.2.0), I get:

Connection refused
qsub: cannot connect to server chadmin2.ib0.cheyenne.ucar.edu (errno=111)
Error: PBS could not successfully start job. Exiting...

I'm wondering if there is a system issue at CISL's end, as I'm seeing a few other issues at the moment (e.g. remote file transfer is currently ~10% of its usual speed).

Any advice or updates would be most helpful!

Yes there is a system issue and the queues are down. The proper place to report this problem is cislhelp@ucar.edu
They are aware of the problem and the queues should be restored soon.
