Questions about initial conditions for B_1850-2000_CAM5_CN compset

Hi,I'm running CESM with B_1850-2000_CAM5_CN compset. I have some questions about initial condition files for the active components.The IC files for the model use default settings.  For ocn,set init_ts_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/ic/ts_PHC2_jan_ic_gx1v6_20090205.ieeer8set horiz_grid_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/grid/horiz_grid_20010402.ieeer8set regionmask_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/grid/region_mask_20090205.ieeei4set topography_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/grid/topography_20090204.ieeei4set shf_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/forcing/shf_mm_all_85-88_20010308.ieeer8set sfwf_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/forcing/sfwf_mm_PHC2_salx_flxio_20090205.ieeer8set tidal_mixing_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/forcing/tidal_energy_gx1v6_20090205.ieeer8set chl_filename = $DIN_LOC_ROOT/ocn/pop/gx1v6/forcing/chl_filled_20061230.ieeer8 
For CLM, finidat = '$DIN_LOC_ROOT/lnd/clm2/initdata/clmi.BCN.2000-01-01_0.9x1.25_gx1v6_simyr2000_c100303.nc'For CICE, ice_ic = '$DIN_LOC_ROOT/ice/cice/iced.0001-01-01.gx1v6_20080212' I got the infomation from Simone about IC files for CAM, but I'm not sure about ICs for other components.I'm interested in 2001-2010 period. So if I want to run CESM with B_1850-2000_CAM5_CN for 2001-2010, is it reasonable to use above IC files or I should generate IC files myself?Regarding ICs for ocean, how many years the model should run for spinup based on default ICs or are there any IC files for ocean available that I could use for 2001-2010 run?Thank you!

Hi Jian,You mentioned that you are using the default settings and I am a bit suprised that you get finidat = '$DIN_LOC_ROOT/lnd/clm2/initdata/clmi.BCN.2000-01-01_0.9x1.25_gx1v6_simyr2000_c100303.nc'ice_ic = '$DIN_LOC_ROOT/ice/cice/iced.0001-01-01.gx1v6_20080212'as default for a B_1850-2000_CAM5_CN compset.  I think the best would be to use restart files close to year 2000 from a previous run. I am providing resrtart files for teh year 2000 from a previous run.
They are on the ftp server.ftp ftp.cgd.ucar.edu cd pub/hannay/b40_20th_1d_b08c5cn_139jp You can set your run as an hybrid run from: b40_20th_1d_b08c5cn_139jp at teh year 2000.
