Regional run setup

Dear all--I am just starting to get into CLM modeling (so please bear with me).I am trying to setup a regional 0.5x0.5 run for the western US using clm4_0_60.  However I have trouble using the new mapping utilities (mkmapgrids, mkmksurfdata_map, and mkmapdata). Does anyone know if there is an updated user guide, the clm4_ug seems to still have an older vesion of the mapping unitlities. Also if someone successfully created a regional domain (preferably with transient pft surface data on a 0.5 degree grid) with these utilities/tools, I would be very greatful for any tips. Dear Arjan,
Thank you for using the CESM Forum for your question, in case another user can offer help.
The plan is to update the User's Guide for the next release coming up in late spring/early summer. New documentation will not become available sooner. Please understand that you're using an unsupported version of the model.
