Running offline CAM-Chem with future climate

Hi, I want to run the offline CAM-Chem model in the future climate under the projections of the different RCPs scenarios. I currently found the saved CESM outputs running for the RCPs scenarios from this website:https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds316.0/However, the saved variables doesn't include the TAUX (zonal surface stress), TAUY (meridional surface stress), SHFLX(sensible heat flux), LHFLX ( latent heat flux) etc., which are required to run the offline CAM-Chem, according to the Lamarque et al., 2012 GMD paper (Table 2).Can anyone suggest me how to do that? Thanks!

The meteorological data sets to use for running CAM and CAMchem offline are on the NCAR ESG. For GEOS5 met data you can download them here:https://www.earthsystemgrid.org/dataset/ucar.cgd.ccsm4.geos5.htmlMERRA data are here:https://www.earthsystemgrid.org/dataset/ucar.cgd.ccsm4.merra.htmlFor MERRA data not all years are routinely processed,Simone

Hi Simone, Thanks for your reply! Yes, I did use the GEOS5 meteorological data for my retropective data with the offline CAM-Chem. Right now, I am thinking to get future meteorological data (under the RCPs projection) to drive the CAM-Chem. Do you know where can I get those data? Thanks!

To drive the model with other model data from earlier RCP simulations, you would need the same output as required from the GEOS5 fields. As far as I know, we have not produced those, at least not for CAMchem.Simone

Hi Zhang, Have you find the solution for case? I I am also interested in that CESM output and get the same problem with regional chemical transport model. If you already sovled it, would you please share with me? Thank you very much.
