Hello,
I would like to ask a question about the Single-Column Atmosphere Model (SCAM).
We have been using SCAM to compare different versions of CAM and to better understand the effects of changes in physical parameterizations.
In earlier versions, SCAM used the Eulerian dynamical core. However, starting from CESM30_beta06, it appears that SCAM switched to the spectral-element (SE) dynamical core.
When running SCAM with newer CAM versions, we have encountered some issues. For example, the simulated humidity is significantly underestimated compared with the results from earlier versions.
Are there any known issues with SCAM in the newer CAM versions, or are there additional configurations or settings that we need to specify?
Thank you very much for your help.
