soil moisture output of CAM3

Hi All:

I am running the CAM3 and like to write the soil moisture to the history files. However, I found that the soil moisture is not output by default, and also is not listed in the 'master field list' (see page 38 of the CAM user's guide) which indicates that I can not write soil moisture to history files by include the namelist variable 'FINCL1'. You are greatly appreciated if you can tell me how to output the soil moisture data or point me to the right direction.

Hi,

you can edit $CAMROOT/cam1/models/atm/cam/src/control/history.F90
and then edit namelist : FINCL ....
