Spinup issue for the ICN COMPSET using my own atmospheric forcing?

Hello, I was trying to spinup the CLM4.0ICN using my own atmospheric forcing, the steps are as follows: 1. Using Qian's forcing to run, and get the restart file for 1998-01-01-00000.2. Then use the restart file of 1998-01-01-00000, and my own forcing for the year of 1998 to spinup the model. The issue is that, the model only run for about 14 years, and interupted. So I don't know how to deal with the spinup problem? I have another question for this. May I use Qian's forcing to spinup the CLM4.0ICN for about 600 years (or more), and then use that result as the new initial condition for the new forcing?
