The Earth System Grid for CCSM data access

The preferred means for non-NCAR users of CCSM data to get data is from "http://www.earthsystemgrid.org" - the Earth System Grid (ESG) website.

As of mid-October 2004, approximately 20 TB of CCSM data is published to and available from ESG.

just an FYI,

a while back we had a user try to register for the ESG and there is a space to put in your ncar collaborator. This is not strickly required. You can put in
??? in that space.

access to ccsm data via the ESG requires registration that must actually be approved by the ESG staff. You will receive an email when your registration is
approved. It may take up to 48 hours to get approval. No one is approving on weekends. The ESG form did not indicate this when I registered, so heads up.
