The rest file were _removed.

Hi all,I was trying to run a job, and get the restart file every 8 days. While when I submitted the job, the files under the rest directory changed to _removed. Does anyone know what's the issue? Thanks for your kind help. Best regards,Xiaolu

Hi Xiaolu,What version of the model are you using, and on what machine?   I assume that you are not stopping the model every 8 days but are running it for a longer period?   The rest files for all but the final restart write will be in the component rest directories in the archve - for example  - $CASE/atm/rest What do you mean by 'changed to _removed'?   Do you mean that there is a file there called _removed?

Thanks for your reply, Jedwards. Actually, the version I was using is the CESM1_1_1, and on the machine of TACC Lonestar. I was trying to simulate my experiment for a year, but stopped every 8 days, because I was trying to assimilate the LAI into the CESM. Each time before I can get the rest file- for example -$CASE/lnd/rest/2002-01-09-00000but now it changed to$CASE/lnd/rest/2002-01-09-00000_removedand I don't know what's the problem.

I can't find anything in cesm that would cause this - is your system purgning the directories?

I have found out the reason. There was a file called in the st_archive.sh under the Tool directory. Thanks for any help.
