TLONG and REGION_MASK missing values in TEMP/SALT output

I have seen this question unanswered in the forum. I am using CESM2LENS historical and SSP3-7.0 to process monthly ocean temperature and salinity data. The TLONG embedded in the netcdfs are missing values from 95-140 deg, and I need this data for indexing. See file b.e21.BSSP370cmip6.f09_g17.LE2-1001.001.pop.h.SALT.203501-204412.nc as an example. The regional mask also has these unusual squares on it (see figure). These were both not issues I saw in CESM1. I also see there is data in the temperature fields at the missing longitudes in TLONG. How can I fix this?

All of the "empty" areas in REGION_MASK can be assumed to have the value 0. I don't know why those specific gridcells are flagged as "missing_value".

TLONG and TLAT are also set to missing in the same gridcells; all those points are land points.
