USING MKSURFDATA TO CREATE 4X5 PFTDYN FILES on Cheyenne

Hi, we are trying to Hi, we are trying to use mksurfdata to create 4x5 degree input files for the future scenario (year 2005-2100) from Cheyenne. However, it seems the model cannot recognize the command:  ./mksurfdata.pl -res 4x5 -years 2005-2100 -rcp 8.5 -crop.Before I tried to create surface data for 1850-2000 and they also succesfully created. Can anyone give any suggestion to produce a surface dataset for the future scenario?

Try ./mksurfdata.pl -res 4x5 -years 1850-2100 -rcp 8.5 -crop[/i]
[/i]Also make sure you are in the correct version of CLM (4.0 rather than 4.5 worked for me)
 
Hi John, thanks and it's helpful. I am trying to do is to simulate land use change following RCP for specific crops like corn. As you know, CLM4 don't provide specific crop types like CLM45 does. But it's promising to expect the CLM5, although I don't really know when it will be finaaaaly realeased.
