Hi all,
In the CCSM POP documentation, it has been mentioned that when I use the following two options in the namelist, 'varthick' for the thickness of the surface layer and set 'lfw_as_salt_flx' as true, the model has to treat fresh-water flux as virtual salt flux. But when I use these two options (which are default) and add anomalies to precipitation flux, the sea-surface height is still changing. Can somebody please tell me if there's anything else that needs to be done for precipitation to be treated as virtual salt flux? Thanks a lot!
