what does sesp in the component mean ?

Hi

I am creating a new case by using ./create_newcase
Here is part of the printing

My question is what does the sesp mean ?

According to the bottom of this page:

CESM2.2.2 Component Configuration Settings

Component configuration settings for the current CESM version

It stands for
External System Processing (ESP) - Data Assimilation

I assume the "s" in front means "stub", similar nomenclature for the other components. That's about all I know about it...
