Are AMIP forced by observational or fixed solar radiation?

According to the AMIP protocol above, AMIP should be forced by climatological or fixed solar radiation, Aerosol concentration and other greenhouse gases, but in CMIP6 protocol AMIP is forced by time-dependent observations as historical simulations.(Table A1. Specifications in the DECK and CMIP6 historical simulations from Eyring, V., Bony, S., Meehl, G. A., Senior, C. A., Stevens, B., Stouffer, R. J., and Taylor, K. E.: Overview of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) experimental design and organization, Geosci. Model Dev., 9, 1937–1958, GMD - Overview of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) experimental design and organization, 2016.)

I want to know which description is correct for current AMIP dataset?

The AMIP compset for CESM uses time varying external forcings, not climatological.
Dear islas,
Thanks for your reply!
So can i conclude that, including CESM model, current AMIP ensembles from other models in CMIP6 are forced by time varying external forcings too? (For example, AMIP ensembles got from ESGF website below)

Sorry for my two replies.
