Are prepared future-period restart / initial-condition files available for generating future meteorology (SSP scenarios)?

What version of the code are you using?
CESM3beta06

Describe your problem or question:
Hi all,

I am planning simulations that need future meteorology under SSP scenarios (e.g., mid-century and/or late-century periods such as ~2045–2055 or ~2090–2100). Before spinning up or branching a new run myself, I wanted to ask whether the community or NCAR already provides ready-to-use restart (or equivalent initial-condition) files for future climate states that can be used to initialize such experiments.

Specifically, I would appreciate guidance on:

  1. Availability — Are there publicly available restart / IC files for CESM2 (or CESM3) corresponding to future periods under common SSPs (e.g., SSP2-4.5, SSP3-7.0, SSP5-8.5)? If so, where are they documented or hosted (e.g., on Derecho/glade, Globus, or an official data portal)?
  2. Recommended source experiments — Which CMIP6 / CESM LENS2 / SSP large-ensemble (or similar) runs are preferred as parents for future restart files? Are specific ensemble members commonly recommended?
  3. Intended use — My goal is to generate future meteorological fields (for driving offline land / chemistry applications, and/or for F-type / prescribed-SST style experiments). If full coupled restarts are not the right product, pointers to CPLHIST / atmosphere forcing / SST–sea-ice boundary datasets for future periods would also be very helpful.
If prepared future restarts are not generally distributed, I would also appreciate a short note on the usual workflow (e.g., branch from an SSP ensemble member at a target date vs. use archived coupler history / met fields).

Thanks in advance for any pointers to datasets, paths, or documentation.
